Boston College Women in Business is an organization, network, and community of undergraduate female students dedicated to their empowerment and education. WIB is committed to the growth and expansion of professional and personal opportunities for its members, with a focus on business, leadership, and female celebration and innovation.

Additionally, the group is devoted to helping students answer Father Himes' three crucial questions in the development of their vocation:  

1) What brings me joy?

2) What am I good at?

3) Who does the world need me to be?



Events that expose and prepare our members for the professional environment. This is everything from learning how build a resume and personal brand to gaining real facetime with companies and exploring potential career paths.

There will be a short presentation about careers in public accounting and tax, as well as some time to ask questions and network about the value of a career in public accounting and some career paths within the tax practice. Oak Hill Advisors will be recruiting on campus Monday, September 18th, and will hold an information session September 18th from 6:00-7:15pm in Fulton 310.  The position available is based in New York City but will require interaction with our offices around the globe. The individual will join a team of 16 that is responsible for raising new capital and servicing the firms existing clients and, as such, the individual will have the opportunity to contribute to both new business development and investor relations. The candidate will acquire knowledge of debt capital markets, private investments, portfolio construction and will interact with all parts of the firm.

Every year over 500 students, press, and local innovators come learn from entrepreneurs, and connect over a shared interest for out-of-the-box business solutions to social issues. This year’s summit will take place on October 21, 2017 from 8:30am - 3:00pm on Harvard’s campus.  The one-day event will include four keynote presentations, eight panel discussions, as well as lunch, a pitch competition, and an innovation showcase. Our presenters include the CEO of Quizlet, the COO of THINX, the founder of Runa, and executives from UberPlayworks Massachusetts, and Girls Who Code, among others. Venture is a nonprofit fellowship program empowering recent college graduates to launch their careers as entrepreneurs and revitalize American cities. After five weeks of training, VFA Fellows spend two years working for a startup in a U.S. city with an emerging startup ecosystem. Throughout the fellowship, they learn how to contribute to a high-growth business and gain access to mentorship, ongoing training, and the nationwide VFA community. When Fellows and alumni are ready to build companies of their own, VFA provides the resources they need to become entrepreneurs.
