Women in Business

Boston College Women in Business is an organization, network, and community of undergraduate female students dedicated to their empowerment and education. WIB is committed to the growth and expansion of professional and personal opportunities for its members, with a focus on business, leadership, and female celebration and innovation.

Additionally, the group is devoted to helping students answer Father Himes' three crucial questions in the development of their vocation:

1) What brings me joy?

2) What am I good at?

3) Who does the world need me to be?

We will be gathering a diverse and vibrant group of attendees together in NYC from June 8 to 10. We will have everything from inspirational speakers (can you say the co-founder of Rotten Tomatoes and TODAY Show host Joy Bauer?) and private mentors to networking sessions and pitch competitions. Sylvia Acevado (CEO, Girl Scouts of the USA) will also be speaking. Come for your passions and leave with a host of new resources in your grasp. Check out the current list of speakers and guests here!

We realize that it can be hard to come to events such as these due to costs and happily offer some scholarship discounts to WIB members for 50% off. You should apply online here and put Emily Akers name in the referral. I will reach out to them with the discount code. As well, we have some volunteer positions available for photographers and videographers as well as other logistics at the event.

If you are interested, please reach out Emily Akers at emily@ngsummit.com or Rachel Gross directly. Fill out your application today and receive expedited reviews then reach out to me directly to receive the special code.

Applications are live on the J.P. Morgan Careers Website. Deadline to apply is Monday, September 3, 2018

ADL is a European-based strategy consulting firm that re-entered the US market a few years ago that is looked to hire 1-2 more business analysts. Currently, we’ve got a team of around 20 consultants working in TMT, Health Care/Life Sciences, and Food & Beverage.  We have offices in Boston, NYC, and SF, so any of those would be in play. There is interest in candidates that already have experience in consulting to minimize ramp-up time, but other strong internship experience is also valuable. No requirements for major or line of study – just looking for smart, hard-working people that don’t mind exploring an opportunity at a lesser-known consulting firm. We compete internationally with the MBBs of the world, and there’s no reason not to believe that this won’t be the case in the US market within a few years.  You can find the general BA job description here.  Please feel free to contact Sam Leedy directly at leedy.sam@adlittle.com if you're interested.
